Manifesto of Kindness

Kindness Words in Sky Compassionate Generous BackgroundIf you asked me what I would like others to say about me long after I am dead and gone, it would be, “She was a kind-hearted woman.”  I thought about the many times I was impatient or aggitated with someone close to me or a perfect stranger, and for no good reason! I don’t want to use excuses like, I wasn’t feeling well or I was having a bad day. There are no excuses for any intolerance, impatience or rude behavior, especially when I have spent a lifetime learning the technology of transcendence. Kindness is a powerful quality because it finds it way back to us when least expect it.  This is a reminder to myself that I share with you.

Here is one of my favorite quotes:

“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.”

Doesn’t this say it all?
